Congressional Democrats Disclose Newest Set of Epstein Photographs as Department of Justice Time Limit Nears
Committee
The House investigative committee has published a batch of around 70 images from the estate of late found guilty individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.
This represents the third such disclosure from a tranche of in excess of 95,000 photographs the committee has obtained from Epstein's estate. It contains images of passages from the book Lolita written across a female's body, and obscured images of female foreign passports.
This release occurs mere hours before the December 19th due date for the Justice Department to release every documents associated with its investigation into Epstein.
"These new images raise additional questions about precisely what the Department of Justice has in its custody," remarked the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.
What is in the Images Disclosed
Some of the photographs released on this week show Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates seen alongside a female whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a desk opposite Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.
Oversight Panel
These are the most recent high-net-worth, prominent individuals to be pictured in Epstein estate images disclosed by the committee - previously released pictures also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.
Being pictured in the photographs is not evidence of any illegal activity, and several of the pictured figures have asserted they were in no way implicated in Epstein's criminal activity.
In a press release issued alongside the photograph publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee noted the Epstein property holders did not provide context or dates for the images.
"Images were selected to provide the American people with openness into a illustrative selection of the photos acquired from the estate, and to give perspectives into Epstein's network and his exceptionally alarming activities," the announcement says.

The publication also contains several images of passages from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in ink across various areas of a woman's body, such as her chest, lower extremity, hipbone, and spine. Lolita recounts the story of a young girl who was groomed by a older literature professor.
An example of a quote from the work written across a female's upper body states, "Lolita's name: the end of the tongue making a journey of three steps down the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".
Additionally, there are a number of images of women's identification and official papers from countries worldwide, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.
Investigative Body
The majority of the data on the documents, including identities and DOBs, is obscured but the panel stated in a press release that the passports pertain to "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".
A further image shows Epstein seated at a table closely surrounded by three female figures whose features have been obscured - one individual has her palm on Epstein's upper body under his clothing, and another individual is bending to examine a adjacent laptop. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the third attach a wristband.

An additional photo made public is a screenshot of digital messages from an unnamed individual who claims they have been sent "a number of girls" and are demanding "$$1,000 for each individual".
Photo Publication Occurs Before DOJ Cut-off
The panel has thousands of photos in its custody from the Epstein estate, which are "at once disturbing and mundane," its statement on this week explained.
The oversight panel first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on allegations of sex trafficking crimes, in August.
The images and files the Epstein property provided to the body are different than what is often referred to "the Epstein documents". Those are documents in the justice department's possession connected to its independent probe into Epstein.
In accordance with the recently passed law, which Donald Trump enacted recently, the DOJ has a deadline of 19 December to release its documents. The scope of what is included in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's probable that a significant portion of the content will be extensively censored, akin to House Oversight Committee releases
